2015 Christmas Party

Posted in News and tagged:

The 2015 Christmas party was attended by 300 children from the slum community,

traveling on three rented buses.

Ready to go

The children loved the thrill of riding to the Christmas party

and encouraged their drivers to pass the other buses so they could arrive first!

Echoing Hills grounds alive!

Everyone was happy to be back at the location where they were able

to enjoy camp this past August.

along with special drinks.

This bag is full of individually prepared meals ready for distribution.

Abass helping

Abass, our first university student sponsored by an Arm of Hope supporter,

worked together with Philip to hand out food to younger children.

There was also much celebration, singing, dancing and a repeating of games learned at camp,

like the sack race!

Bouncing Castle

The tradition of a football game between three teams was played,

with Arm of Hope coming in second out of the three.

Next time we will be first, right boys?

This time not a win but second to the three teams

Such a great day to spend with friends,

away from the stress and struggle of street life.

And check out what these girls are wearing too,

“Live a Life of Love” shirts from the 2015 camp!

As the children bowed for prayer before their departure from camp,

there was sadness and tears.

No one wanted to go home.

But now they can all look forward to camp coming up soon!

I’m sure they are counting the days.
