We’ve got so much news to share with you! It’s exciting to see all God is doing in and through Arm of Hope in Ghana!
PHILIP DARKO, OUR MISSIONARY PARTNER AND GHANA DIRECTOR, IS NOW FULL-TIME!
Brother Philip is now officially working in the new Arm of Hope office Monday through Friday, as well as during Bible Club on Sunday. The children have constant access to him, and he is able to build into their lives on a consistent basis.
A FEMALE SOCIAL WORKER HAS BEEN HIRED!
We are so excited to have a new female social worker on board to work with the girls of Arm of Hope! Diana grew up right in the heart of the community in which we are working. In fact, she has attended Bible Club in the past, and her siblings are sponsored through Arm of Hope! Diana is familiar with the local dialect and already knows many of the sponsored girls. She is very active in her church, and has experience working with children and teens. Diana will be assisting Brother Philip and providing direction and counseling for our young girls.
ARM OF HOPE HAS HIRED SIX NEW EMPLOYEES!
The vision of Arm of Hope is “to raise up leaders and disciple makers who will change their community, their country, and their world.” This month brought a big step toward that vision as Arm of Hope has hired six of our high school graduates and college students to be official employees of Arm of Hope. Their tasks include librarian, computer lab technicians, facility maintenance, and security. It is a joy to see our vision playing out, as we welcome these young people to our Arm of Hope team!
ARM OF HOPE’S 501(c)(3) PROCESS IS UNDERWAY!
We have begun the process of acquiring non-profit status for Arm of Hope. We are overwhelmingly grateful to our accountant for donating his time and skills to walk us through this detailed process. In the meantime, we are still operating under the non-profit status of Hope Community Church.
GHANA CAMP TEAM 2020 IS FORMED!
Our Ghana camp team is formed and already working hard to raise support needed for our seventh annual Arm of Hope camp coming up in August! We are all super excited to have the privilege to serve God together!
SAVE THE DATES!
The Arm of Hope 5k is right around the corner on May 16 at Hope Community Church. This is a family-friendly event that provides camp scholarships for this year’s Arm of Hope camp. Our annual appreciation banquet and fundraiser is on October 17. Mark your calendars now! More information will follow soon!
PRAYER REQUESTS!
-Pray for Brother Philip and the many challenges he faces every day as he seeks to meet the many needs that come his way.
-Pray for our new employees as they join the Arm of Hope team in Ghana.
-Pray for us as we sift through the paperwork of our non-profit journey.
-Pray for provision for our Ghana camp team as we work together toward another successful year
-Pray that God will continue to provide for the work of Arm of Hope.
