I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful, Christmas celebration with your family this week! If you are a sponsor of an Arm of Hope child, I want you to know that your sponsorship money made it possible for your child to celebrate Christmas as well! Dressed in their Christmas best, this day is the highlight of the year! Here’s a glimpse into Christmas through the eyes of an Arm of Hope kid in Ghana.
The Christmas party at Echoing Hills is HUGE! There were 436 children there from Arm of Hope and many other children from the neighborhood as well as children involved in other facets of the ministry. Those 436 children were transported from the slum to Echoing Hills in 4 buses, and as Brother Philip remarked, “We really could have used 5, but we made it work!” That’s a lot of children!
Everyone heard the Christmas story of Jesus and participated in dancing and group games like musical chairs.
Of course, food is always the best part. Lines formed for chicken and rice dinners as well as treats of cotton candy and popcorn.
There were also trampolines and inflatables to enjoy!
All in all, it looks to me like it was a spectacular day! Thank you for making it possible through your regular and sacrificial gifts. You are truly making a difference in the lives of these children who have so little. Ever since camp they have been anticipating this party, but now that the party is over?
Well, it’s only about 220 days until camp! Let the countdown begin!
