Today is the day we fly! (But actually, we didn’t fly yet, so these are pics from last year!)
Thank you for praying for us over the past 10 days. Your prayers and support are the only way a huge undertaking like this camp is ever even possible. If you could continue to pray for us over the next 2 weeks, we would be so grateful. In fact, our team member, Mary Beth, put together a scripture prayer guide for out trip. It’s attached her if you would like to download it and print it.
Today will you pray for our travel? We are leaving just after midnight (Thursday night/Friday morning) and heading for JFK in New York City, a 3-4 hour drive. We are traveling in two vans with a trailer hauling our camp supplies.
We fly from JFK at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, make a stop in Morocco for a layover, and then get to Accra, Ghana at 2:30 a.m. GMT on Saturday morning (10:30 p.m. EST on Friday evening). This will make for a long day of travel, so please pray for our team.
Pray that we can grab sleep on the plane and in the airports.
Pray for health and strength for travel.
Pray for the unknowns of flying on a new airline we haven’t worked with before.
Pray that all of our bags will arrive in Ghana with us.
Pray that we will be quickly waved through customs in Ghana without being searched, so we can fall into bed at Echoing Hills as soon as possible.
Pray that we will be a light as we travel and show grace to all we meet.
